Apartments in Sant'Angelo d'Ischia

The apartments of the residence Le Pleiadi in Sant'Angelo, in the South of the Island of Ischia, enjoy a privileged location.

The structure hosting the apartments is the last building of the village of Sant'Angelo before the beginning of the beach which borders the isthmus towards the small peninsula named Torre di Sant'Angelo.

The terraces are located directly above the sea and the beach, and the view from here embraces the endless expanse of the sea. The Eastern, Southern or Western exposure of the rooms ensures plenty of light from the early morning hours to the late afternoon. The apartments facing West allow to experience impressive sunsets in the most vivid colours.

The architecture of the apartments adheres to the simple and rounded shapes of the Mediterranean tradition. The essential and functional furnishing is meant to avoid any decoration diverting the attention from the key elements of these apartments: sea, wind, sky and sun.

The town of Sant'Angelo is the real jewel of the Island of Ischia. This place owes its uniqueness to the old, picturesque fishermen’s houses, the “piazzetta” with restaurants and shops and the complete silence you can breathe (neither cars nor motorcycles are allowed in town). The docks of the small harbour host the traditional boats of the natives. In the morning it is therefore possible to buy the freshest catch. The whole town is beautifully framed by the beaches to the right and left of the isthmus as well as the volcanic islet opposite the village square.

The “piazzetta” – the real heart of the village – is the starting point of several narrow, winding streets leading to the upper part of the hamlet, overlooked by the ancient small church of San Michele, and reaching Maronti beach, the largest of the island, along trails directly above cliffs with a sheer fall to the sea and disclosing a stunning view.
